Patients are referred to hospital internal medicine by the emergency department, OPD, their primary care doctor or other hospitals.
The scope of the hospital internal medicine practice includes 24-hour care of general medical, cancer, telemetry and geriatric patients, as well as consultative services for patients who require surgery.
